What a MAX-style chat video looks like

The newest of the Russian messengers has the boldest palette of them all: a saturated violet for everything you send, plain white for everything that arrives, corners rounded far enough that the bubble reads as a pill, and no tails at all. Because the outgoing side carries white text on violet, the eye follows your half of the conversation first, which suits stories told from the narrator's point of view. TextFlick redraws the interface from its own design tokens, so nothing is screenshotted, no logo appears and every pixel stays crisp at 1080×1920.

How to make a fake MAX chat video in four steps

A 25-second story takes a few minutes. There is no timeline to scrub and nothing to key-frame: the message list and the pauses are the edit.

  1. Paste or type the conversation, one message per line, left for the other person, right for you.
  2. Set the pace: turn on the typing indicator for the replies that should hesitate, add a pause before the turn.
  3. Pick the MAX style and the contact name, then choose light or dark.
  4. Press play, watch it once, then export the 1080×1920 MP4.

Light or dark

Dark is the default here. The near-black sheet makes the violet glow the way it does on a phone at night, and night is when most chat stories are set. Light works better when the story is mundane rather than tense: a work chat, a family group, a delivery that never arrives.

FAQ

Is this the real MAX app?

No. TextFlick is an independent tool that draws a chat interface in a MAX-like style. It is not affiliated with MAX, and no real accounts or messages are involved: everything on screen is text you wrote.

Do I need a MAX account?

No. Nothing is connected to any messenger: you type the conversation here and get a video file back.

Is the exported video vertical?

Yes: 1080×1920 at 30 fps, the format TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts expect.

Can I show the typing indicator and pauses?

Every message can show the typing dots before it arrives, and you can insert a pause anywhere. Timing is where a chat story gets its tension.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free downloads carry a small TextFlick watermark; Pro removes it and raises the monthly limits.
