How it works
The cabin is missing from the numbering and still gets a table laid: a household detail nobody explains. The transfer at the end sounds like an administrative decision, which is worse than any chase.
How to make it yours
The number twelve has to come up at least twice, in the plates and in the row at assembly, and never change: let the viewer add one to the other. The missing cabin can be a ward thirteen, a floor the lift skips or a table in a factory canteen. The adults know and keep quiet: the kitchen sets the table and explains nothing, and the moment one of them starts telling the backstory, the fear leaves. Keep the ending administrative, three dry lines about a transfer and no exclamation marks.
